In the spirit of putting up the Christmas decorations before the Halloween chocolate eggs are even off the shelves (I presume - I don't really 'do' Halloween) SEAT Ireland has announced its offers and incentives for the 211-registration period.
€5,000 'scrappage'
In fairness, they're pretty good offers. They include zero per cent finance packages and as much as €5,000 'scrappage' (inverted commas correspondent's own).
That zero per cent PCP finance offer is available across the SEAT range, and you can also sign up to an inclusive servicing package subscription for €9.99 per month, which covers all your servicing for the first three years. Now, if you want to avail of the 'scrappage' offers, then those are bundled with downloadable vouchers from the SEAT Ireland website. Those will give you discounts of up to €5,000 on the Alhambra, €4,000 on the Tarraco and Arona, €3,000 on the Ateca and €2,500 on the Ibiza and new Leon.
Just by example, taking a Leon 1.0 TSI SE, that would mean a €4,626 deposit, €289 monthly payments, and an €8,789 final payment.
Connect to the SEAT app
SEAT Ireland says it's also boosting the connectivity options for key models such as the Arona and Ibiza, making both compatible with the SEAT Connect app. That gives you access to remote vehicle info (so that you can check whether you remembered to lock it, how much fuel it in it and so on) as well as being able to remotely flash the lights and honk the horn if you left it in a crowded car park and forgot where it was.
The Leon is also getting some new optional extras, in the shape of rather gorgeous 18-inch machined 'aero' alloy wheels, finished in either Cosmo Grey or Nuclear Grey.
The updated Ateca, which gets a new styling on the outside, and new tech options in the cabin, arrive in time for 211, and according to SEAT is: "fully connected to keep customers linked to their digital lives and has safety and convenience at its heart, with trims to match individual customer's requirements and a range of advanced powertrains to meet life's demands."
New style and engine for Tarraco
The bigger, Tarraco, with its optional seven-seat layout, also gets a small update, with new badges and brake lights, and new colour options too - Merlot Red and Dolphin Grey.
Inside, the updated Tarraco gets a heated steering wheel option, as well as a new 'Climacoat' windscreen, which uses a coating that speeds-up the de-icing process in winter. There's also a new engine option which, for the first time in the Tarraco, pairs the 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine with the DSG automatic gearbox, and front-wheel drive. Pricing on the new front-wheel drive, diesel, DSG version starts from €37,245 (or €319 per month thanks to zero per cent PCP). The 2.0-litre TDI unit produces 150hpoof power between 3,000 and 4,200rpm and 360Nm of torque.
Commenting on the brand product updates and 211 offers, Niall Phillips, Brand Director at SEAT Ireland said, "It's an incredibly exciting time for the Seat brand with the launch of revamped models including the new SEAT Ateca 2020. Connectivity is at the heart of SEAT and we are proud to introduce new features including the SEAT Connect app to our 211 range. As always, it's important for us to offer both quality product and value to our customers, and so, we are delighted to offer zero per cent PCP finance as well as online scrappage vouchers of up to €5,000 available across the SEAT range."
