The famous Bluebird name is back in the record breaking business and is aiming to smash the top speed for electrically powered cars.
Sir Malcolm Campbell's grandson, Don Wales, is behind the project. It is looking to raise the Land Speed Record for electric cars to more than 800km/h.
Pendine Sands in south Wales has been chosen as the venue and the long stretch of beach has an illustrious history of record breaking. It was used by Campbell to set a record of 284km/h (174.88mph) in 1927.
Wales hopes to have a crack at the record in 2013 and is busy building and preparing the car at the project's base. He currently holds the World Land Speed record for steam-powered cars at 238km/h (148mph).
