Nissan has launched a special edition of the Juke crossover called the Enigma, and it's available in Irish dealerships now (for click and delivery, natch) priced from €27,600.
Amazon Alexa integration
Nissan says that the Juke Enigma "continues to push the boundaries of bold design" but what do you actually get your €27-large? Well, for a start, the Enigma brings built-in Amazon Alexa voice control to the Juke's Nissan Connect infotainment system. There's also smartphone integration via an Alexa-enabled phone, if you have one. Just by asking Alexa, Enigma owners can remotely find out their Juke's doors lock/unlock status, how much fuel they have left, send a location to the on-board navigation system, and more.
That's in addition to the existing Nissan Connect online services, which Nissan claims allow for "seamless smartphone integration for safe use on the road."
Alexa for the rest of the Juke range
Wait, there's more. The arrival of the Enigma also means that the rest of the Nissan Juke lineup can also now be connected to Amazon Alexa. Set it all up and you can communicate with your Juke via your home Alexa device, including asking Alexa to send an address to Juke's Nissan Connect Navigation with TomTom Traffic, turn on the lights, determine the vehicle's parking location, learn remaining fuel distance, and check door-lock status.
The Juke Enigma's styling package starts with black, 19-inch Akari (Japanese for "light") alloy wheels and adds some bespoke graphics on the contrast-colour roof. There's also an Enigma logo on the C-pilar and a choice of two colour schemes - Gun Grey or Pearl White with a black roof.
A fantastic addition
"The Nissan Juke Enigma is a fantastic addition to the Juke range. It offers even more head-turning design and advanced technology in a truly compelling and value for money package. Enigma draws on unique styling and intelligent connectivity to enhance the driving experience," said Peter Dynan, Head of Product, Nissan Ireland.
