Citroen C5 Aircross Irish pricing

Citroen C5 Aircross starts at €38,990 in Ireland.

Citroen has confirmed the Irish pricing and specs for the updated C5 Aircross, the company's SUV which has just seen a mid-life refresh in the form of updated looks and interior tweaks.

Available as a petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid model, the Aircross will arrive in three trim levels - Feel, Flair and the upmarket C-Series - and with the option of a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic.

Trim levels

Usually a mid-range option in the Citroen line-up, the Feel pack brings with it 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and tail-lights, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry & start and a gloss black exterior colour pack on the "airbumps" and fog light surrounds.

Flair adds to all that with a new 10.0-inch infotainment screen, an interior Alcantara pack featuring soft-touch half leather seats, electric adjustments for the driver seat and a dark chrome exterior colour pack.

At the top of the tree the C-Series gains 19-inch alloys, full leather seats, hands free tailgate, exterior bronze colour pack and highway driver assist for automatic versions.

Pricing

Powered by a 130hp turbocharged 1.2-litre engine, pricing for the petrol C5 Aircross starts, in Feel trim and with a manual transmission, from €38,990, working all the way up to a starting price of €46,890 for a fully-loaded C-Series model with the automatic gearbox.

Pricing for the ultra-economical 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel starts from €39,770, again, Feel being the entry-level option and C-Series, the high-end, most expensive trim level.

Opening the plug-in hybrid line-up, however, is the mid-level Flair model, with prices starting from €48,550, rising to an opening price of €50,800 for the C-Series. The plug-in hybrid features a 1.6-litre petrol engine combined with an 80kW electric motor to develop 225hp, with a claimed 55km of electric-only driving delivered by the Citroen's 13.2kWh battery.

In other terms, pricing for the C5 Aircross on a PCP deal starts from €380 per month with Citroen currently offering an attractive APR of 1.9 per cent.

What's new with the C5 Aircross?

We've already reviewed the updated C5 Aircross, but, in short, the front-end has seen a rework with the badge now more prominent and a new headlight treatment. The rear too has seen a little work with new tail-lights.

Not a vast amount has changed inside, with a new 10.0-inch touchscreen as seen in the C5 X, and the 12.3-inch driver's instrument display gives the interior a more modern feel. Adding to the high levels of interior comfort are the Citroen Advanced Comfort seats offering high-density foam in the core of the seat with an extra 15mm layer of memory foam featuring a specific design to resist sagging over time.

When is the new C5 Aircross arriving in Ireland?

Citroen has said that the first of the refreshed C5 Aircross models will be arriving in Ireland next month for the 222 registration period.
