Connolly's has been appointed as the Volvo dealer for Galway, with a new showroom now open in Ballybrit, adjacent to Galway race course. It will be joined by a new state-of-the-art servicing department in February.
Since 1939
Connolly's is a major car dealing force in the west, having been in business since 1939. It currently operates 13 outlets, in Ballina, Sligo, Letterkenny and Galway. This new appointment is the first time that Connolly's has been a representative for Volvo.
Commitment of the brand
Commenting on the appointment, David Thomas, Managing Director of Volvo Cars Ireland, said: "The expansion of the Volvo retail network reflects the growth and commitment of the Volvo Cars brand in Ireland. It is important that we have representation in Galway so that our customers have a convenient location to purchase and service their Volvo cars. The Connolly Motor Group are well regarded in Connaught for their high standard of customer excellence, and we look forward to working closely together in the years to come."
New Volvo EX90
He added: "It is a very exciting time to join Volvo Cars, last year we revealed our latest fully electric flagship SUV - the Volvo EX90, marking the start of a new era for our company. We have ambitious targets for 2023 and the years ahead, and as a partner, Connolly Motor Group will help us deliver on these."
Kevin and Neil Connolly, owners of Connolly Motor Group, said: "We are very proud to be the new representation of Volvo Cars in Galway, and indeed Connaught. We are delighted to have Volvo join our growing Connolly Motor Group Family. There are a significant number of new and existing Volvo customers locally that require a dealership to offer them sales and aftersales services, which we are delighted to provide."
