Subaru is getting ready to unveil its new XV crossover at the Frankfurt motor show, which starts on 15 September.
The XV Concept has already been seen at the Shanghai motor show in April, but this is the first chance we'll have to see the completed European specification XV.
Subaru says the XV sticks closely to the looks and style of the concept car. The company also claims it will bring "a new level of engineering excellence to the segment."
All-wheel drive will be standard for the XV and Subaru believes this will help attract a new type of buyer to its showrooms. Based on the Impreza, the XV has greater ground clearance and panel-protecting extended wheelarches to make it an Outback-style version of Subaru's hatch.
No word on prices from Subaru but it should be on sale in early 2012.
