What is it?
A complete facelift of the Toyota Avensis saloon and tourer giving both cars the new corporate face. The 2.0-litre D-4D engine has been reworked to deliver lower CO2 emissions without sacrificing performance.
Why's it here?
This new Avensis is production ready and expected to go on sale early in 2012. The changes may not be radical but they should allow the Avensis to retain its market share with the lower emissions offered by the new 2.0-litre D-4D engine set to attract tax benefits for private and fleet buyers alike.
Show stopper or floor filler?
Being one of its top sellers the Avensis is a hugely important car for Toyota but unless you're looking for it you'll walk right past the Avensis en route to the latest concept or new car unveiling.
