Cupra Ireland is having a special ‘Obsession’ sales event between now and the 11th of October, and you can snap up the electric Born hatchback for as little as €269 per month on a 1.9 per cent interest PCP finance package.
SEAI grant booster
The sales event for the Spanish brand - spun off from SEAT as a high-performance and electric marque - also includes a bonus doubling of the standard SEAI grant for electric cars, taking it from €3,500 to €7,000.
The Obsession event also sees the arrival in Ireland of the updated Formentor crossover and the Leon hatchback, both of which can now be had with plug-in hybrid power giving both cars a potential 100km electric range on one charge.
Specification upgrade
Both Formentor and Leon also get a complimentary specification upgrade to the ‘Edge’ Pack, which includes a keyless advanced system that unlocks and starts the vehicle with a touch, an anti-theft alarm for protection, and interior ambient lighting for both style and intuitive alerts. It also includes a rearview camera for precise backing assistance and a sensor-controlled luggage compartment that opens by waggling your foot under the rear bumper.
Formentor finance plans start with a PCP at a 2.9 per cent interest rate and monthly repayments from €269. The Leon hatchback costs €319 per month at the same rate, and the roomy Leon SP estate costs €329 per month.
Full spread of powertrains
Cupra Ireland says that as well as being an electric-focused brand (with the new Tavascan all-electric SUV arriving soon), it’s also a brand that offers the full range of powertrains, from turbo petrol and turbo diesel to mild-hybrid petrol, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric.
According to a Cupra spokesperson: “This exclusive event invites car enthusiasts and potential buyers to experience the exhilarating world of Cupra, with fantastic offers available at your local retailer.”
