Kia announces Irish prices for the EV3

The new Kia EV3 crossover starts at €36,790 in Ireland.

Kia Ireland has just issued prices for the incoming new EV3 electric crossover, which will arrive in Irish dealers next month.

Range of 436km

The headline figure is that the EV3 will have a starting price of just €36,790. That will get you an Earth 2 model with the 58.3kWh battery and a range of 436km. Kia has said that the EV3 will launch with a zero per cent PCP finance offer, with repayments from €186 per month.

Standard equipment for the basic Earth 2 version includes 17-inch alloy wheels, dual 12.3-inch display screens, LED headlights, heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless phone charging and Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.

Big battery goes for 605km

You can also have the Earth 2 version with a bigger 81.4kWh battery, giving it a range of up to 605km. That costs €40,350.

Next in the EV3 range is the Earth 3 model, which comes only with the big 81.4kWh battery and costs €42,840. The standard kit includes 19-inch alloy wheels, ‘vegan’ leather seats, power-adjustable front seats, and blind-spot collision avoidance. Thanks to the bigger wheels, range falls to 560km.

GT-Line version

Finally, at the top of the range is the GT-Line version, which also gets the big battery and a range of 560km. It costs €47,190 and comes with GT-Line bodykit, external power, a sunroof, and a powered tailgate.

Seven colour options will be available - Clear white, Snow white metallic, Ivory silver, Shale grey, Frost blue, Black pearl and Aventurine green (that last one is exclusive to the GT-Line).

Managing Director of Kia Ireland Ronan Flood commented “The EV3 features groundbreaking design and an industry-leading electric drivetrain. Coupled with its overall practicality and class leading interior spaciousness, we expect strong sales volumes for EV3 in 251. I would encourage anyone in the market for an EV to take a test drive in this car when it arrives in dealerships next month.”
