Preview for 2025 Citroen C5 Aircross

Citroen C5 Aircross Concept indicates how new SUV will look at launch in 2025.

Citroen unveiled the new C5 Aircross Concept at the Paris motor show, previewing the next generation of its C-segment SUV. The new design highlights Citroen's continued push into the SUV market, with a focus on a bold, aerodynamic exterior and a spacious, family-friendly interior. The C5 Aircross Concept paves the way for a production model set to launch in 2025.

Versatile powertrains on a new platform

The 2025 C5 Aircross will be Citroen's first vehicle built on the ‘STLA Medium’ platform, which can accommodate various powertrains. This setup supports internal combustion, hybrid and electric propulsion depending on market demand.

Design and efficiency

The concept measures 4.65 metres long (that’s 15cm longer than the current Citroen C5 Aircross) and 1.66 metres high and features a streamlined body to enhance aerodynamics, a common challenge for SUVs. The aerodynamic improvements are estimated to boost the range of the new electric version of the C5 Aircross by nearly 30 kilometres.

Externally, the concept introduces Citroen's new light signature, with sleek LED segments at the front. Enhanced aerodynamics at the rear, including a sloping roof and flush-mounted lights, help reduce drag.

Comfort, space and connectivity

Targeting families, the new C5 Aircross is said to prioritise comfort and space. Its long wheelbase should provide ample room for five passengers, and Citroen describes the interior as a "wellness area" designed to improve passenger comfort. Though full interior details remain unreleased, Citroen promises advanced connectivity features, with more information expected closer to its 2025 launch.
