Cupra Tavascan arrives in Ireland

Cupra's all-electric Tavascan SUV arrives in Ireland with prices starting at €44,365.

The Cupra Tavascan, the brand's second electric vehicle after the Born, has arrived in Ireland with models available for test drives from next month (December 2024), just in time for the 251-registration period.

Initially introduced as a concept at the 2019 Frankfurt motor show, the Tavascan's design has remained close to its original form and is built on the same MEB platform as the Volkswagen ID.4, ID.5 and Skoda Enyaq.

Available in two trims, the Tavascan Endurance (Type 4) and Endurance (Type 6), the model starts at €44,365 for the Type 4 and €54,765 for the Type 6. These figures quoted include available SEAI grants and VRT relief where applicable.

What’s the Cupra Tavascan Endurance (Type 4)?

The base model Tavascan Endurance (Type 4) has a 77kWh battery and a motor producing up to 286hp with a range of up to 569km on a single charge. Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, sporty bucket seats, illuminated Cupra logos on both the front and back, and a rear parking camera. Inside, the Type 4 has wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 15-inch infotainment system.

And what about the Cupra Tavascan Endurance (Type 6)?

The Tavascan Endurance (Type 6) builds on the base model's features with the same 77kWh battery and 286hp motor. Additional features for this model include 21-inch alloy wheels, electric heated front seats and a panoramic roof. It also has a Sennheiser sound system and a 360-degree camera system. The official range drops to 546km on a charge.

Cupra will soon expand the Tavascan lineup with high-performance VZ models, which will have four-wheel drive, a high specification and up to 340hp. There is no release date for these variants yet.

Any 251 incentives and offers?

For November orders, Cupra offers a 3.9 per cent APR PCP finance rate, which means you can drive away the Tavascan from €349 per month. Additionally, early buyers can benefit from a €3,500 SEAI Grant Booster.

Mark McGrath, Head of Marketing and Product at Cupra Ireland, noted that the Tavascan "is more than just an electric SUV; it's a statement of power, design and forward-thinking technology. We encourage car enthusiasts to visit our showrooms in December for a firsthand experience.”
