Jaguar & Land Rover in LA

Here's what Jaguar and Land Rover revealed at the LA Show this week.

Jaguar Land Rover is a little busy at the Los Angeles International Auto Show this week.  The Jaguar XKR-S Convertible made its world debut, the Land Rover DC100 and DC100 Sport have been reconfigured and the Jaguar C-X16 concept makes its first appearance in the USA - sporting a new paint colour.

With 550hp the XKR-S Convertible will be one of the most powerful Jaguars ever made - a position it shares with the XKR-S coupé.

Land Rover's DC100 concepts are making their American debut in LA.  Both the hard top DC100 and the open top DC100 Sport have been revised 'to emphasize their all-terrain capabilities'.  There are off-road wheels and tyres and a new 'Heritage Blue' colour.

The hybrid Jaguar C-X16 Production Concept is also appearing in America for the first time.  The V6 coupé was named 'Best in Show' by AutoWeek Magazine following its appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year.

Jaguar Land Rover will use the LA event to gather feedback about its concepts though it's widely accepted that the next generation Defender will come from the DC100 concepts.
