Mercedes-Benz and value-for money would ordinarily go together like chalk and cheese but recent news from the premium car maker would appear to buck that trend. Buyers of the ever popular E-Class models will be testament to this as they find themselves slightly better off thanks to Mercedes-Benz's decision to fit as standard many extras that would normally attract a premium.
These extras include full leather upholstery, a parking guidance system, heated front seats, media interface with audio streaming, alarm, 17-inch alloys, LED lights and the stop-start function. Valued at just over €7,000 these now standard items represent a significant saving for Mercedes-Benz customers as, despite the additions, the price for the entry level E 200 CDI remains unchanged at €42,130.
The improvements are seen by Mercedes-Benz as "giving a valuable enhancement to a range that remains the backbone of the company's product offering in Ireland."
