Abarth honours Maserati

The latest 'Tributo' model from Abarth is inspired by Maserati.

Abarth has revealed its latest special edition car that will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati is a custom 500C convertible with enhanced performance and Maserati-inspired visual tweaks.

Following in the footsteps of the similar Ferrari inspired special edition the new car will be powered by a tuned 1.4-litre Turbo T-Jet engine that boasts a power output of 180hp. Abarth's Record Monza exhaust unit, in a nod to Maserati design, will be fitted with hexagonal-shaped tailpipes.

The Pontevecchio Bordeaux paintwork was sourced directly from Maserati as too were the design of the 17-inch Neptun alloys that feature the signature trident.

Inside, the sports seats are covered in beige Poltrona Frau leather with the number '695' heat-printed into each headrest. The dashboard and gearbox surround feature matt-finish carbon lining while bespoke gauges have been supplied by Jaeger.

Only 499 examples of the Abarth Tributo Maserati will be produced with availability and pricing details expected to be announced when the car is unveiled in Geneva next month.

Rumours that next year's planned Tributo Lancia will wear a Chrysler badge in Ireland have yet to be confirmed...
