The Lexus GS 450h has been revealed more than three months ahead of its scheduled Irish launch. The actual unveiling, to an invited audience at a luncheon in the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Powerscourt Estate, was done by Lexus Brand Ambassador and Irish rugby star Brian O'Driscoll.
Powered by a 289hp 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, the €59,950 car also features a 39kW electric motor, meaning emissions as low as 139g/km and annual road tax of €225. Lexus says the GS 450h 'combines bold and dynamic design, precise handling, innovative technology with next generation multimedia, significant advanced safety systems and a spacious contemporary interior', but you can find out for yourself when the next generation hybrid goes on sale in June of this year.
