Version 1.10 brings a host of new updates to the navigation app for TomTom places, IQ routes, ECO routes, TomTom HD traffic and a more up to date map, catering to the fact that 'on average 15% of roads change every year'. New additions include integration with social media services and a new map icon.
Users of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter will find the integration of social networking very handy. The update now gives users the ability to share their destination and also their estimated time of arrival via email, SMS, Facebook or Twitter. Deeper Facebook integration also includes the ability to search and navigate Facebook places or events and plot routes to them easily.
TomTom places, the Google powered navigation based search option that enables drivers to find nearby shops and restaurants now includes nine more countries, including Ireland.
The TomTom navigation upgrade is free for existing owners of the app.
