SEAT Mii costs from €9,895

SEAT's new small car, the Mii, will cost from just €9,895.

What's the news?
The new SEAT Mii has gone on sale, set to fill the gap left by the company's Arosa some years ago. The car will be sold initially as a three-door, with a five-door model coming later.

Exterior
From launch, the Mii will be available in three trim levels - a self-titled base model, Chic and Sport. All models come with SEAT's recognisable 'Arrow Design' at the front of the car and indicators that point in the direction of turn at the back. Chic trim adds front fog lights and 14-inch 'Silva' alloy wheels; whereas top level Sport trim gains 15-inch 'Ania' alloy wheels and tinted rear glass.

Interior
As standard, all models come with driver and passenger airbags and a CD player with auxiliary input for MP3 devices. Chic and Sport models come with front electric windows, a leather steering wheel and gearstick, and four additional speakers; the two guises are differentiated only by dashboard colour and styling details. SEAT Touch is offered as an optional extra, adding a five-inch touchscreen display to the centre console featuring satellite navigation, Bluetooth and an on-board computer. Normally priced at €347, SEAT is offering this option free of charge for the remainder of 2012.

Mechanicals
The Mii is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine developing 75hp. Fuel economy is a low 60.1mpg (4.7 litres/100km) on the combined cycle, and a CO2 figure of 108g/km grants it access to the lowest tax band. ESC with Hill Hold is offered as standard on all models, with the option of Safety Assist available for €216 - a system that will apply the brakes if an imminent collision is detected.

Anything else?
SEAT's Mii is available now with prices starting at €9,895 for a base-level three-door with a manual gearbox, with five-door models and automatics costing an extra €470 and €750 respectively across the range.
