It's purely billed as a concept for now, but it looks like Suzuki's new C-segment crossover the S-Cross could take the fight directly to rivals like the Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Yeti.
There's a scarcity of details, save for a simple pencil sketch and let's-catch-that-bandwagon teaser photo, but at first glance it looks like the firm could be onto a winner. The PR spiel suggests the S-Cross 'embodies an Emotion x Quality x Aerodynamics design theme'. In reality that means this sleek family model has a rather butch stance and raised ride height. Oh and it looks rather good.
Of course it may not be built for serious off-roading, and it's just as likely to appear with front-wheel drive as four, but for most buyers that won't matter. Will it make it to production? Well we're not betting men, but if we were the chips would be staked on this replacing the SX-4 sometime in 2013.
