Opel reveals 2013 model range

Three new models and lower prices set for next year from Opel.

Opel has revealed the models and prices we can expect to see in 2013. In a nutshell, Opel has introduced three new models and lowered prices across its range.

An updated Astra range will hit showrooms on 3rd November. The new car is sharper looking that the outgoing model, Opel dubbing it the 'Insignia's baby-brother'. The update also sees the return of the Astra saloon, priced from €19,495.

Opel will also launch its first sub-compact SUV, the Mokka. Three levels of trim will be available on launch - S, SC and SE - with both front- and four-wheel drive options offered. Opel predicts that the 1.7-litre CDTi diesel SC model will be most popular, with base-spec versions costing from €19,995 when it goes on sale in December.

The third new car is the highly anticipated Adam that goes on sale in March next year. The fashion-conscious model aims to take on the Fiat 500 and Citroen DS3 and it comes with an 'almost unlimited' number of customisation options. Prices for the Adam have yet to be announced.

Opel's revised pricing structure has been revealed though, with savings of up to 10 per cent across the range. The Corsa now starts from €13,795, the Meriva from €18,295, the Insignia from €24,995 and the Zafira Tourer from £27,995.

Opel has also now launched its Five Year Care Plan on new models. Priced from €600, buyers will get five years' worth of servicing and health checks. A 36-month interest-free option is also available.

Finally, Opel will treat customers to a €500 gift card for Dunnes Stores for any orders placed before 31st December 2012.
