Mitsubishi Outlander prices revealed

All-new SUV model comes with more equipment and lower fuel consumption.

What's the news?
Mitsubishi Ireland has now revealed the pricing strategy for its all-new Outlander; a car that has just gone on sale. Entry-level prices for a two-wheel drive five-seat model start at €34,950; rising up to €39,950 for the top-spec four-wheel drive seven-seat automatic.

Exterior
The exterior styling has been given a major overhaul for the latest model resulting in a much more modern looking car. From the front, a new slim grille has been fitted; while the new wraparound front and rear lights are connected by a sharp styling crease down the side.

Interior
Inside, the driver is greeted by an uncluttered dashboard. A higher grade of materials has also found its way into the Outlander compared with previous models. Ergonomic steering wheel controls and simple, easy-to-read and high resolution displays are designed to maximise driver concentration, according to Mitsubishi. Interior space is also increased for the latest Outlander, with claims that the car boasts a smaller footprint but more room inside compared with most family estate cars.

Mechanicals
All versions are powered by Mitsubishi's 2.2-litre direct-injection diesel engine. Depending on vehicle spec, this engine gives the Outlander a fuel consumption figure as low as 4.8 litres/100km (58.9mpg) and emissions figures from 126g/km; sitting the car in Band B for road tax.

Anything else?
The Outlander is on sale now throughout Mitsubishi Ireland's dealer network. Following the release of the Outlander, Mitsubishi will also be launching an all-new B-segment car in 2013; with a plug-in hybrid version of the Outlander coming afterwards. All of these will come with an eight-year warranty.
