This week, Audi Ireland has opened a new state-of-the art dealership in Naas, Co. Kildare. The new facility features a large 12-car showroom, with 40 spaces for used vehicles outside. As well as this, a workshop with six service bays has been built, each with brand new technology and the latest equipment.
The EMD Architects-designed terminal-style showroom cost Audi Ireland €5 million to develop and build and currently employs 14 staff; although numbers are expected to grow to 40 over the next two years. The facility forms part of an €80m investment into the company's dealership network; with more showrooms expected to open this year.
"We are delighted to open the doors of this fantastic facility to motorists in the Kildare area," commented Frank Kelly, dealer principal of Audi Naas. "The Audi brand has gone from strength-to-strength in this region, and we plan to continue this success in 2013."
Andrew Doyle, Managing Director of Audi Ireland, stated; "Last year was a challenging but successful one for Audi Ireland. We managed to increase sales by 7.1 per cent in a market that contracted by 12 per cent, and we are Ireland's number one premium car brand for the fourth year running."
The opening of the Naas dealership comes ahead of the launch of the new Audi A3 Sportback that hits Ireland's shores early next month.
