At this year's Vienna Life Ball, a bespoke MINI Paceman is to be auctioned off to raise money for victims of HIV and AIDS. The model in question left the MINI factory as a standard Paceman before being given to world famous fashion designer, Roberto Cavalli, to work his creative magic.
The resulting car is one that's not likely to go unnoticed. The standard paintwork has been replaced by a black and brown iridescent finish; and a large version of Cavalli's logo resides on the roof. The rendering pictured also suggests that the windows have been tinted brown to match the bodywork.
Since its introduction in 2001, MINI has been donating unique models on an annual basis to the Vienna Life Ball. Previous designs include efforts by Versace, Diesel and DSQUARED2 and have covered a majority of the MINI range including the Convertible and Clubman.
The 2013 design will be fully revealed at the official opening of the new Cavalli store in Vienna's 'Goldenes Quarter' on Friday 24th May. The car is set to go under the hammer at the AIDS Solidarity Gala the following day. The venue for this year's event is the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, with the auction taking place in the Hall of Ceremonies.
