Go further with new Citroen C3

A new look and greater range feature in Citroen's latest C3 hatchback.

What's the news?
Citroen is now selling the latest incarnation of its C3 hatchback in Ireland, a model claimed to deliver an extra 300 kilometres per tank than its predecessor. As well as this, the C3 features revised styling both inside and out.

Exterior
The look of the Citroen C3 has been heavily revised for the new model. Round the front, updated chevrons sit above a new bumper that features LED daytime running lights. New light clusters can be found at the back as well; and the whole car appears a lot chunkier than the previous version - particularly with the large (optional) alloys.

Interior
Inside, Citroen has concentrated on comfort and space for its new C3. The sound proofing has been enhanced to keep noise and vibration down to a minimum. In addition, the C3 features a 300-litre boot, a volume that puts it at the top of its class according to Citroen.

Mechanicals
Within the range of engines available are two newly developed PureTech three-cylinder petrol units. The smallest - a 1.0-litre VTi 68 - manages a fuel consumption figure of just 4.3 litres/100km - giving an extra 300km of range compared to the outgoing 1.1-litre engine. A more powerful 1.2-litre PowerTech unit can also be had; as well as a HDi 70 diesel engine that puts out just 87g/km of CO2.

Anything else?
Prices for the new Citroen C3 start at €14,995, and all models come with free servicing for three years or 50,000km. Order books are open across Ireland now.
