Honda previews new Civic Tourer

New Civic Tourer to feature sophisticated adaptive damping.

What's the news?
When the new Honda Civic Tourer is launched early next year, it will be the first production car of its kind to feature a rear adaptive damper system on its suspension. This system works by allowing for different settings to be activated depending on the car's load as well as driving conditions.

Thanks to this new, the driver will be able to choose from three different settings - comfort, normal and dynamic - all of which deliver slightly different characteristics. Not only does this allow the driver to tune the car's handling to their personal preference, it also enhances the stability of the car especially when carrying heavier loads.

Anything else?
Due to be built at Honda's UK manufacturing facility in Swindon, the new Civic Tourer will be officially unveiled in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car was designed and developed in Europe by Honda's European Research and Development team with the aim of fine-tuning the car to specifically suit the demands of European drivers.
