Power boost for Panamera Turbo.

New turbos bring more oomph to the Panamera party.

What's the news?
Power lots of it. That's what the Porsche Panamera Turbo S already had but the good burghers of Zuffenhausen have seen fit to bump those figures up a tad. A nadge. A touch. A lot actually.

Two new turbos strapped to the side of the Panamera's 4.8-litre V8 engine have boosted the power output to 570hp, an increase of 50hp. Torque is up to a tree-stump-shattering 750Nm.

Assuming you've ticked the options box for the Sport Chrono Pack and have thus fitted your Panamera Turbo S with launch control, it will now sprint to 100kmh in just 3.8secs.

Hilariously, the engine has even more power to unleash. In common with a lot of turbocharged engines the Panamera Turbo S has an overboost function that can, for brief periods, jack the torque figure up to 800Nm.

Helping to contain all of that power is chassis that comes with Porsche Active Chassis Management (PASM - which allows you to select between Comfort, Sport and Sport + modes) and Porsche Torque Vectoring which actively parcels out the grunt to the wheels which can most effectively use it. Presumably those wheels which have not yet reduced their tyres to atoms in the face of that torque onslaught.

Race-bred composite ceramic brakes are, thankfully, standard.

Standard equipment includes Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with adaptive air suspension, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) Plus, 20-inch diameter alloy wheels, full leather interior, automatic climate control, Bi-Xenon headlights, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) satellite navigation system, DAB digital radio with Bose Surround Sound, Bluetooth telephone module with cordless handset, front and rear seat heating, rear passenger side airbags, a universal audio interface offering MP3 connectivity, and a three year warranty.

Anything else?
Yes. Thankfully this ultimate bank job car also includes a standard electronic vehicle tracking device.
