Ken Block releases Gymkhana SIX

Need for Speed theme for new Ken Block Gymkhana video.

What's the news?
Gymkhana SIX has now been released to the world with legendary driver, Ken Block, demonstrating more driving skill than ever before with his 'Ultimate Gymkhana GRID Course'. The latest film has been developed in association with Need for Speed - the video game series where Ken lends his hand as Racing Advisor.

Among the usual tight twists, turn and hairpins we've come to know and love in the Gymkhana series, number SIX contains a few references to the upcoming Need for Speed Rivals game. These kick off with the presence of two Lamborghinis. A Murcielago and an Aventador are kitted out with the game's Redview County law enforcement liveries and are then used as moving targets for Ken to drift both around and in between. Ken then moves onto two Redview County cops on Segways for more moving-target drifting action.

Other aspects of the course involve drifting under JCBs, manoeuvring through very narrow tunnels and storage containers, negotiating jumps and avoiding a moving wrecking ball; all of which was tackled in Ken's 2013 Ford Fiesta ST RX43 race car.

Ah yes, the car. As is the norm, Ken has fitted an exceptionally powerful engine to a very small car in order to make as much tyre smoke as possible while speeding round the course. This time, the Fiesta finds a 650hp lump under the bonnet that sends all its efforts to the car's four-wheel drive system. The unit also pumps out a thumping 881Nm of torque, which propels the Fiesta from 0-100km/h in just 1.8 seconds. As well as having enormous power and being scattered with sponsor decals, the Fiesta was fitted with a host of GoPro Hero 3 cameras to capture each section of the insane drive in full high definition.

Anything else?
The new Need for Speed Rivals will be launched later this month on both current and next generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Now, enough reading - it's time to click here to see the video.
