BMW and Mondello team up again

BMW continues to supply course vehicles to Kildare circuit.

What's the news?
Mondello Park and BMW Ireland have renewed the partnership that sees the Bavarian brand providing course cars to the Kildare racing circuit. Perhaps the most prominent part of this relationship is the BMW 420d Coupé Safety Car, which, with its flashing LED light bar, is used to control the field during safety car periods of a race and is generally driven by a current or former racing driver to ensure that the field is kept up to reasonable speed.

The other four-wheeled member of the BMW/Mondello team is a new BMW X1 sDrive16d that acts as the official Course Car on race days. Offering seating for four the X1 is primarily used by the Clerk of the Course and official race stewards to inspect the circuit. The X1 is also used during motorcycle race events where it serves as the Course Car to the BMW S1000 RR Safety Bike.

Anything else?
The BMW S1000 RR bike is also used at Mondello Park's motorcycle track days by the chief instructor for course inspections and during sessions for instruction of riders.
