What's the news?
Kia has released a design sketch of the interior of the all-new Sorento SUV, which promises a 'dramatic quality improvement' according to the manufacturer. The third generation model will be unveiled later this month. Work on the interior was led by Kia's design team in Frankfurt, citing the finest modern Swiss watches as a key influence.
A large infotainment screen dominates the centre of the dashboard while smooth, flowing shapes create a 'wrap-around' effect to emphasise the cabin's width and space. A high proportion of soft-touch materials have been chosen along with stitched leather.
Kia also promises the Sorento will feature a range of advanced on-board technologies.
Anything else?
The Sorento will be unveiled in Korea in late August with the European debut scheduled for the Paris Motor Show on 2nd October.
