What's the news?
The Porsche Macan hasn't been on sale for long, but already the bods in Stuttgart have begun to add personalisation options to the 'sports car in the SUV segment'.
The Sport Design package is a factory order kit that adds a sports exhaust system, bi-Xenon headlights, dark-coloured LED rear lights and a unique body kit to the proceedings. The body kit, consisting of front bumper, side sill panels, rear bottom section and side blades, is available either in body colour or with parts (such as the trailing edge and mid-section of the rear spoiler) painted in high gloss black. It is said to 'underline the dynamics of the Macan'.
More likely to underline those dynamics is the sports exhaust system with its modified silencers and special toggle switch that can unleash the full roar of the Macan's motor or dial it back in for cruising around town. The system is finished off with two twin tailpipes, which can be ordered in either black or silver chrome-plate finish.
Anything else?
Also up for grabs are a range of interior options, plus a new set of Sport Classic 21-inch alloy wheels, said to have been inspired by the classic Fuchs wheel. Unlike the Sport Design package these options are available from Porsche's Tequipment brochure and can be retrofitted to existing Macans.
