Mazda sponsors TEDxDublin

TEDxDublin is a one-day conference, sponsored by Mazda, to celebrate unconventional thinking.

What's the news?
Mazda has announced a three-year sponsorship deal with TEDxDublin, the one-day conference that will bring together all sorts of creative types. The event will take place on 13th September, presented by the Science Gallery, Trinity College Dublin and will take place at the Bord Gáis Energy theatre.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and TED talks are presentations of 18 minutes or less. Dublin's TEDx is a series of self-organised events designed to bring people together. A combination of live talks and video presentations on a variety of subjects are designed to bring people together and spark group discussion.

Artists, scientists, architects and performers are some of the people who will come together for the Dublin event. Speakers include film producer, David Putnam, Emmy Award winner and set production designer, Gemma Jackson and Drag Queen and Gay rights activist, Rory O'Neill, aka Panti.

Supporting TEDxDublin is designed to link with MazdaRebels.com, an online forum for Mazda owners and a showcase for unconventional thinkers - labelled 'Rebels with a cause'. Avril Brophy, Marketing Manager, Mazda Ireland said "It is absolutely crucial these days to make a direct connection with your customers, which is exactly what we've done with Mazda Rebels. The similarity and synergies between Mazda and TEDx is obvious and as a brand we are aiming to encourage unconventional thinking through our online forum and our partnership with TEDxDublin. We've committed to a three-year partnership and we are very much looking forward to the event on the 13th of September, which will see some of the most dynamic and convention defying key note speakers from both here in Ireland and overseas."
