What's the news?
Kilkenny hurler Eoin Larkin may be able to skip the team bus as the Black Cats make their way up to Dublin for the All-Ireland replay - he can take his new car instead. Larkin, a six-time All-Ireland winner and twice winner of the All-Star Award, has been announced as Brand Ambassador for Honda Ireland and has a new 1.6-litre i-DTEC Civic to go with it.
Commenting on his partnership with Honda, Eoin said, "It's a real pleasure to have the support of both Honda and Kilkenny Honda Centre. I'm very impressed with my new Civic so far, as it's a really strong performer, being great to drive yet very easy on fuel."
Emmet Kavanagh, Marketing Manager at Universal Honda Ltd. commented, "We are delighted to partner with Eoin for many reasons, and the timing is particularly exciting given the recent draw between Kilkenny and Tipperary, in what will surely be remembered as one of the all-time great hurling matches."
Anything else?
That match was of course the thrilling 3-22 to 1-28 draw with Tipperary in the All Ireland final with the replay due to take place on 27 September.
