What's the news?
Skoda will officially unveil the Octavia Scout at the National Ploughing Championships on 23rd September. It is also offering a €1,000 deposit contribution to Irish Farmers' Association (IFA) members who buy a new car using Skoda Finance.
Costing €33,795 the Octavia Scout has been designed for hard work. Compared to its predecessor it can tow 25 per cent more weight than before; up to two tonnes. It also boasts an approach angle of 16.7 degrees and a departure angle of 13.8 degrees to help tackle rough terrain; while electronic differential lock improves traction on slippery surfaces.
Talking about the IFA offer and new model Raymond Leddy, Head of Marketing & Product, ŠKODA Ireland said; "We are delighted to announce this offer for IFA members. Farmers are amongst the most prudent purchasers in the market place and demand durable, reliable vehicles with excellent efficiency, hence the reason we see such a positive fit between ŠKODA and farmers. In recent years we have been able to cater even more towards farmers' needs with a range of 4x4 vehicles, for example the Octavia Scout, the newest incarnation of which, will be launched at this year's Ploughing Championships."
