What are we looking at?
The new Fiat 500X, the latest member of the expanding 500 family and cousin of the Jeep Renegade we drove recently.
What's the best thing about it?
You mean you have not been drawn in by the cuteness? Ok, how about the fact that you will be able to get it in either two- or four-wheel drive with the two-wheel drive version featuring a fancy traction control system meaning it should not come unstuck at the slightest sign of wet leaves? Or the fact that it will be available with either a five- or six-speed manual gearbox, six-speed twin-clutch auto or the new nine-speed auto that we first saw in the Cherokee? Of course all this is dependent on Irish specifications, which have yet to be finalised.
Show stopper or floor filler?
A difficult one to call, but we have to fall on the side of filler. There are just too many exciting things going on in Paris to be truly drawn in by the 500X. Maybe when we see it in isolation...
