Mercedes to make CLS 'estate'

Estate version of the Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door 'coupé' will go on sale in 2012.

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the CLS 'Shooting Break' will go into production from 2012.

The estate version of Mercedes' four-door coupé was first shown as a concept at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year.  It will be assembled at the company's factory in Sindelfingen, Germany - on the same production line as the new CLS and E-Class saloons.

According to the Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, the new model "underscores the leading role of Mercedes-Benz in regards of innovative passenger car concepts and design."
