McLaren will reveal the production-ready version of its track-only P1 GTR hypercar at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Development work on the P1 GTR has been 'stepped up' over the winter months, with testing in the Middle East and Europe already suggesting the ultimate McLaren will be one of the fastest cars the company has ever produced. This is no surprise as the GTR apparently makes more than 700hp-per-tonne, an increase of 10 per cent and more on the (hardly slow) road-going version.

McLaren says the car's development programme will continue at 'a relentless pace' over the coming months as final fine-tuning of the performance, aerodynamics and handling is undertaken to ensure the P1 lives up to the hallowed GTR badge. In the coming weeks, the McLaren P1 GTR Driver Programme will also begin, with drivers invited to the McLaren Technology Centre in the UK to start a journey, which will see them driving their P1 GTRs on some of the world's premier racing circuits.
