What's the news?
Rolls-Royce has released the first details of its latest concept, which will be unveiled at the Geneva Show on 3rd March. So far we only have a design sketch, but the show car is said to offer unmatched opulence.
Exterior
Nothing has been said about the outside of the concept; it is expected that the Serenity will be based on the Rolls-Royce Phantom with a special paint scheme.
Interior
The Serenity was created by the company's Bespoke Design team and is apparently inspired by the vehicles used by royalty and world leaders. Influence was also taken from contemporary European furniture and the Japanese Royal Kimono. The result is an interior environment trimmed in the finest silks and smoked cherry wood with an elaborate blossom design on the headlining. Details apparent from the concept design sketch include mother of pearl inlays in the marquetry on the rear doors, silk woven headrests, and silk-edged floor mats.
Anything else?
In case you were wondering, each one of the blossoms on the headlining is painted by hand.
