Ferrari to show off 488 GTB at Goodwood

First dynamic display of new turbocharged V8 Ferrari 488 GTB set for June.

What's the news?

If you're a big Prancing Horse fan, get yourself over the water to the UK for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in late June - because Ferrari is going to run two hugely exciting models up the Hill Climb: the new 488 GTB and the FXX-K.

The 650hp 488 GTB, the first mid-engined, twin-turbo V8 Fezza since the 288 GTO and F40 models, will be taking part in the Michelin Supercar Run, alongside existing products in the form of the California T, F12 Berlinetta, LaFerrari and F12 TRS. Also roped in are a 599 XX and a 458 Challenge, the latter running in the GT race cars category.

It will be the first time the 488 GTB has been seen moving in the UK, while the extreme, track-only FXX-K, with 1,050hp, is thoroughly worth any long journey to see it in action.

Anything else?

Scuderia Ferrari is also attending the festival, with a 2010 Formula 1 car set to take on the climb. It will be driven by ex-F1 ace Marc Gené. Further petrolhead appeal is provided by a roster of historic, privately owned race cars from Ferrari's history, including a 250MM, 512 BB/LM and a Ferrari 641 F1 car from 1990.
