What's the news?
MINI's branding of objects that seemingly have nothing to do with the car appears to know no bounds, as here's a MINI surfboard.
The carmaker has teamed up with Channel Islands Surfboards, apparently one of the most acclaimed and premium surfboard manufacturers in the world (we're gonna have to take MINI's word on this, as we know nothing about surfing - unless you're talking about the internet), to develop a surfboard that... wait for it... 'surfs like a MINI'.
Thus, the resulting product is called The MINI (who'da thought it?) and has been 'shaped from scratch to cut through the waves at speed with its short and sporty design'.
And just like the car, the board can be personalised to high heaven in terms of colours and design schemes, so you can have it in Chili Red with black rally stripes if you want.
Anything else?
Are you a surfer who owns a MINI? Then if you want The MINI board, it's available from selected outlets and the Channel Islands' online shop. Prices start from about €800. Visit Channel Islands Surfboards if you're up for it.
