Competitive offers announced by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

What's the news?

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland will officially launch its new Caddy and Transporter models at this week's National Ploughing Championships.

Both models have retained familiar silhouettes but have been substantially updated inside, while engine efficiency has been improved too.

Now into its fourth generation, the Caddy has been a huge success for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and will again be available in a number of body styles including a long-wheelbase configuration, which adds 469mm to the regular Caddy's 1,781mm wheelbase. There will also be new versions of the Caddy Life and Caddy Maxi Life passenger models that can accommodate five or seven passengers respectively.

For the first time both the passenger and commercial models get different interior cabins to better suit the task at hand. Volkswagen has also made the five-inch 'Composition' touchscreen infotainment system standard across the range along with Bluetooth. Buyers will can choose from the Highline and Entry Line models for the first time in Ireland, too.

Irish prices for the new Volkswagen Caddy will begin at €13,606 excluding VAT and thanks to Volkswagen Bank, buyers will be able to choose from 3.9 per cent APR HP or 3.9 per cent APR PCP from €179 per month.

On the larger side of things the new Transporter will be priced from €19,997 excluding VAT and will also be available with the same 3.9 per cent rates of APR on HP and PCP deals, with prices starting at €269 per month. All models will come with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty and roadside assistance.

All engines on the new Transporter range will now feature start-stop while cruise control has also been made a standard item. Also set to feature on all models will be the five-inch touchscreen system and Bluetooth.

Anything else?

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will have all of its range on display at the National Ploughing Championships including the latest Amarok Atacama and California as well as Shuttle and Caravelle models.
