What's the news?
Fancy more power from your Audi RS 6 Avant or RS 7 Sportback? Of course you do and the good news is that Audi can now provide you with some. 45hp more to be precise, plus a boost in torque to 750Nm thanks to an overboost function. Both cars get the same updated 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbo V8 engine (also recently seen in the new S8 saloon) and both have improved their 0-100km/h time by 0.2 seconds to 3.7 seconds.
Impressively, there's no reduction in fuel economy or emissions - both cars manage just over 29mpg on the combined cycle, and have Co2 emissions of between 221 and 223g/km - not even in the top band of motor tax(!).
On the outside there are new bumpers and reprofiled air intakes, while both cars get new forged aluminium 21-inch wheels. Carbon-ceramic brakes are an option, as is an RS Sport suspension setup, but even the standard air suspension drops the cars by 20mm for better agility and aerodynamics.
Prices should remain more or less unchanged (read: massive but worth it) when both cars go on sale in November.
