Porsche orders recall on petrol Macans

Porsche to replace fuel lines on nearly 59,000 Macan S and Turbo models.

What's the news?

Nearly 59,000 Porsche Macans are being recalled globally by the German manufacturer, following complaints revolving around a fuel leak.

The recall of 58,881 Macan S and Macan Turbo models (only petrols are affected, the S Diesel is fine) concerns a low-pressure fuel line inside the engine compartment.

Porsche insists this move is entirely precautionary and that the problem came to light after a small number of customer complaints.

Anything else?

Owners of all the vehicles affected will be contacted directly by their local Porsche dealers. The rectification will take around an hour and will be carried out free of charge, while Stuttgart also says all Macans still being built on the production line will be upgraded accordingly.
