James Bond Aston Martin DB10 up for auction

An Aston Martin DB10 from James Bond film Spectre will be auctioned for charity on 18th February.

What's the news?

One of the ten Aston Martin DB10s created for the latest James Bond film, Spectre, will be auctioned by Christie's on 18th February with proceeds going to Médecins Sans Frontières. The sale, titled 'Spectre - The Auction' celebrates the release of the 24th film in the franchise with 24 lots of memorabilia; the Aston Martin is expected to fetch up to £1.5 million (nearly €2 million). This is the first time a DB10 has been offered for sale to the public.

Most DB10s were modified for filming but this is one of two 'show cars' used for display and promotion. It was displayed at the world premiere of the film at the Royal Albert Hall, London, and carries a plaque signed by Daniel Craig.

The DB10 features a carbon fibre body with handmade interior finished in leather, carbon fibre and aluminium. Power comes from a 4.7-litre V8, driving through a six-speed manual gearbox. The only performance claim made is an estimated top speed of around 190mph.

Anything else?

The history of this DB10 has been verified by the Aston Martin Works Assured Provenance scheme. It is the first car to receive a platinum award, relating to the car's condition, history and significance.
