What's the news?
Ferrari has announced the 'Handling Speciale' (HS) option for the California T. Choosing the HS pack brings firmer settings for the suspension and a redesigned exhaust system for a more engaging engine note as revs rise.
The HS option includes firmer front and rear springs, backed up by the SCM3 magnetorheological dampers. In Sport mode the dampers have been programmed to improve their speed of response and efficiency. Ferrari admits that the changes reduce ride comfort but should result in a sportier drive.
Changes to the exhaust system include silencers with twin primary pipes and new geometry. The system is said to give an exhaust note that increases progressively as engine speed rises with a noise in keeping with the car's more sporting character.
Changes to the twin-clutch transmission mean that, in Sport mode, gear engagement is faster than non-HS cars.
Anything else?
Some styling changes come with the HS pack; including a front the grille and rear diffuser finished in matte Grigo Ferro Met with the tailpipes coloured matte black. It also comes with a special plaque for the cockpit.
