What's the news?
Nissan has released a cryptic teaser; it shows a car with four round tail lights in silhouette, beneath the text 'New York International Auto Show 3.23.16'.
The outline appears to be that of the current GT-R, which suggests that a facelifted version of the supercar is on its way. Nissan is keeping quiet about what updates are planned but there is a chance it will get a more powerful version of the hand-built twin-turbo V6. Some sources are talking about a hybrid drivetrain using technology developed for the GT-R LM NISMO Le Mans racing car.
We will know the full story on 23rd March.
Anything else?
This is expected to be the final facelift of the current 'R35' GT-R before the next-generation model arrives, which may not be until 2020.
