SEAT Ibiza van brings value to business users

Both petrol and diesel engines will be offered.

What's the news?

SEAT is once again returning to the commercial vehicle market with the introduction of a new Ibiza van. Based on the three-door SEAT Ibiza, this commercial variant features a full bulkhead behind the front seats, which is partially caged to allow for visibility into the cargo area and out of the rear window. The rear side windows remain glass, unlike some panel van conversions, but the glass is heavily tinted.

Up front, the Ibiza van features a height adjustable driver's seat and a 12V socket and USB port. There is also three cupholders and a practically sized glovebox, but one noticeable omission from the standard equipment list is Bluetooth.

Buyers will have a choice of two engines; a 1.0-litre petrol producing 75hp, or a 1.4-litre diesel that also produces 75hp. The latter is more likely to appeal to business owners from a taxation and accounting perspective.

Commenting on the introduction of this new model, Niall Phillips, Brand Director at SEAT Ireland said: "The SEAT Ibiza Van marks our re-entry into the commercial market for the first time since we launched the SEAT Inca Van in 1996. It is yet another positive step for SEAT and means that we can now target another market segment. Its attractive pricing makes the Ibiza van the most affordable in its class."

The SEAT Ibiza van is available through all 22 SEAT dealers in Ireland, with prices starting from €10,460 excluding VAT but including VRT for the petrol engine. Pricing for the diesel engine starts at €11,995 excluding VAT and including VRT.
