What's the news?
Not content with tempting us with a range of specially-designed Breitling wristwatches (ohhhhh, the temptation...) Bentley has now introduced a special app for those travelling in a new Bentayga SUV and who happen to have a handy Apple Watch.
The app, which Bentley says "uses a bespoke digital architecture" turns over control of some of the car's on-board systems to the watch. Sync with the vehicle's Touch Screen Remote (TSR) and you can then fiddle with the climate control, seat heating, ventilation and massage functions and the infotainment system. You can also check how fast the car is going, what the outside temperature is and how far you've travelled.
Dan Whittaker, Director of Electrical and Electronics at Bentley, said: "The Bentayga is technologically advanced and combines this with luxury in a way only Bentley can achieve. This new Apple Watch connectivity is another example of how we are constantly innovating in order to enhance the customer experience."
Anything else?
It's worth noting that the new app won't work in a Bentley Flying Spur or Continental GT because their electronic architecture is much older than that of the bang-up-to-date Bentayga.
