What's the news?
The McLaren 570S Sprint makes its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed today (23rd June, 2016). There will be demonstration runs for the track-only model and a chance to see the car in the Supercar Paddock alongside the McLaren P1 GTR, 650S Can-Am, 570S Coupé and the 675LT Coupé, making this is the company's largest ever presence at the Festival.
The 570S Sprint is designed for driver enjoyment on the track without the restrictions necessary to meet the rules of a race series. Under the skin the chassis is shared with the rest of the Sports Series models while the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 and seven-speed SSG transmission should also be familiar to McLaren fans and owners.
On the outside it looks similar to McLaren's other models but with changes designed to improve aerodynamics including a new front bumper to channel air over, under and through the car. At the rear, a fixed carbon fibre wing contributes to the highest levels of downforce yet seen on the Sports Series.
There are plenty of racing touches including Pirelli racing slicks on centre-lock wheels, an FIA-approved roll cage and FIA-approved seats with six-point harnesses. A fire extinguisher system is installed as standard and McLaren can supply a motorsport air jacking system to aid wheel changing.
A GT4 compliance pack, including everything required to meet the FIA GT4 regulations, is available for customers who want to race the 570S Sprint. The pack was developed in parallel with the McLaren 570S GT4, which is currently completing its testing phase for the British GT4 championship.

Pricing starts from £148,000 (around €193,000) 'ex works' with deliveries commencing in 2017. The standard colour for the 570S Sprint is McLaren Orange, but any of the colours available on the Sports Series can be ordered, along with a unique range of liveries through MSO Defined.
