Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage special edition

Lamborghini honours Miura’s 50th birthday with limited edition Aventador.

What's the news?

Fifty years ago, the stunning Marcello Gandini-penned Miura debuted at Geneva, and the world of sports cars changed forever. Jaws dropped to the floor in awe of the sleek beast, and the locked engine cover ensured no prying eyes spotted the ballast taking the engine's place. The story goes that time was so tight, that no-one had checked if the proposed V12 unit actually fitted... Fortunately it did, and Sant'Agata's first supercar was born.

Lamborghini has decided to celebrate the legendary machine's birthday by adorning the mad Aventador in a few choice bits as a sort of tribute. The changes are purely cosmetic, and include a choice of six classic Miura colours based around the famous two-tone effect. Staggered 20/21-inch rims in matt gold or silver, Miura badges, and custom leather interior with some vintage-style stitching all feature.

The car was created by the in-house Ad Personam studio, a sort of special division within Lamborghini that facilitates custom work. Only 50 of the special edition cars will be made, still with 700hp and a top speed of 350km/h. The only problem is, if you're interested in one then you're probably already too late, as the allocated run is nearly sold out. The regular Aventador is just as quick however, so it's not all doom and gloom, just saying...
