What's the news?

Mazda Ireland has appointed John Perry as its new Managing Director, taking over from Tony Howarth, who is returning to the UK to take up a new role within the automotive industry. Perry had worked with Mazda Ireland since 2007 when he joined as Aftersales Business Manager. Since then he was promoted to Aftersales Director in 2010 and following a restructuring of the company in July 2013 held the role of National Sales and Aftersales Manager.

Following the announcement of his appointment Perry said: "This is an exciting time for the Mazda brand in Ireland, since the introduction of our 6th generation products we have witnessed strong growth with 2016 showing an increase above the market of 44%. With the Market now returning to sustainable levels and with our freshest model line-up, our strong retailer network and very attractive retail offers, we are in a great position to take full advantage and continue this growth.

Over the next 12 Months, our retailers will have completed our new look and feel showrooms, mirroring our product line and enhancing our customer's experience. I look forward to working closely with our network and continuing to take advantage of the growth in the marketplace in driving the Mazda brand and our customer experience."
