What's the news?
The order books haven't even opened yet for the new Audi Q2, but that hasn't stopped the German car maker from creating a special edition of its smallest crossover.
Exterior
The Audi Q2 Edition #1 is finished in an exclusive 'quantum grey' paint, with titanium black and Manhattan grey exterior details and sits on anthracite black 19-inch wheels with a five-arm rotor design.
It wears the S line exterior package and looks more rugged thanks to a sporty bumper and sills, as well as a rear diffuser, which is said to emphasise the 'robust character of the compact SUV'.
The C-pillars feature the four Audi rings in white on a black blade, which is unique to the special edition.
Interior
Inside, there's a leather package and illuminated aluminium door sill trims with the S emblem as standard. There is a leather-covered multifunction sports steering wheel and the height-adjustable sports seats are covered in a combination of fabric and leather in black and amaretto with titanium grey headlining.
The Edition #1 also gets an ambient lighting package with LED light guides that backlight the sculpted trim strips on the instrument panel and on the centre console. There is a choice of ten colours that the customer can set in the MMI infotainment system.
Mechanicals
The Audi Q2 Edition #1 will be offered with the following powertrain variants: 1.4 TFSI COD 150hp; 1.4 TFSI COD S tronic 150hp; and 1.6 TDI 116hp.
Anything else?
The order books for the Audi Q2, including the Edition #1, are expected to open next month and it will hit dealerships later on in the year.
No pricing has been announced yet.
